Romanticizing Your Life with Self Care

Self Care is so important. It’s a needful act, not a selfish one. Daily life can be a drain on our energy. When that energy is gone, we can become irritable, less patient, cranky and tired. When your life cup is empty, what do you do to “fill” it back up? “Filling” of our cups doesn’t have to be something enormous. It can be simple, and quiet.

I told one of my clients that I find peace while doing puzzles. She took me up on the suggestion and sent me this picture……The caption under the picture was “ How is this relaxing?” I laughed out loud. We are all so different. It’s a beautiful thing….it’s a beautiful world and it’s a beautiful life.

My daughter found this awesome quote and I thought it was a nice nudge. “When life feels overwhelming it really can be the most simplest things that can make it all better.” Romanticizing your life. You gotta start believing that your morning commute is cute and fun, that every cup of coffee is the best you’ve ever had, and that even the smallest and most mundane things are exciting and new. You have to, because that’s when you start truly living, that’s when you look forward to every day.

Tip: A Relaxing Facial from your favorite esthetician will also fill your cup. Words of wisdom!
